What’s your Objective?
Live Casino Hold’em is very unique as you can win, even with a very weak hand. This is possible because you can trick other players to believing that your hand is better than their and thus force them to fold and give in to defeat. While playing this game, you have two main objectives:
- Force every player to fold and you remain at the table as the last man standing;
- If you cannot do this, you need to try as much as possible to capture the poker pot.
Gameplay
The game of poker starts off once all the players are seated at the table. Normally, the dealer on the other side of the camera will have to wait until a minimum of 8 players are logged in to the table after which the dealer will welcome you all.
Once every player is seated at the table, the dealer will deal two cards, each facing down. They are known as the ‘hole cards’. Once every player has been dealt with the cards, you’ll be given the chance to do any of the following.
Fold – By folding, you shall simply be discarding your hand and giving up on the match. Discarding in a live casino simply requires you to push your card to the center of the table face down. The dealer will then make an announcement to the other players that you’ve folded.
Bet – This is the option for those who wish to continue. If you like the value of your hand, you might decide to bet. In Live dealer Texas Hold’em, betting simply means that you place your bet towards the center of the poker table and all the other players will be expected to match the amount you have on the table if they wish to remain in the game. You can do this by simply dragging your chips through the screen to the center of the table and the dealer will do this on the table.
Check – By deciding to check, it means that you are suspending betting for the time being, giving way to other players to place their bet. If there’s no other player willing to bet, then the dealer will deal another card and the same procedure repeats itself.
How Are the Live casino Texas Hold’em Hands Determined?
As a Live Hold’em Poker Online player, you need to familiarize yourself with all the hands that are played on the game as they form the basic and guideline on which all the rules operate on. All the hands in brief are as follows.
The Royal Flush – Just as the name suggests, this is the ‘Royal’ hand. Basically, a Royal Flush will consists of an 10, a Jack, a Queen, a King and an Ace, all from a single suit. If you happen to be playing Live Casino Texas Hold’em and have this hand, you’ll be a step away from winning especially if there’s no other player who has it. It’s the ultimate hand in the game.
The Straight Flush – This hand has to be straight for you to win as it is composed of five straight cards i.e., all the five cards available have to be in sequence. However, unlike the royal flush, which dominates regardless of the outcome of other players, the straight flush usually can result in a tie. In this case, the hand with the highest rank will win. A good example of a straight flush is a hand consisting of a 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
Four of a kind – If you happen to have four cards that are similar, then you are most likely going to win the game. What determines the outcome however is the fifth card – which is usually referred to as the ‘Kicker’. The player who has a kicker of the highest value will win the match. A good example of a four of a kind hand is one with four Aces and one 9.
Full House – A full house result is when you happen to find yourself with three cards from the same rank, as well as two ones from a different rank, but they match in terms of the suits. A good example is if you have Three Kings cards consisting of a Spades, Hearts and Flower suit plus two 10 cards consisting of a flowers and hearts suit. Should there be a tie on the table, then the player whose three matching cards have the highest value wins.
Flush – When you have a flush, it simply means that you are holding five cards of the same suit, which not necessarily have to appear in sequence. However, if you happen to tie with another player, then the one with the cards that are ranked highly wins.
A straight hand – Just as with the flush, a straight hand simply requires you to have five no-suited cards appearing in sequence. Also, in the event of a tie, a player with the cards that are ranked highly will win the match.
